Trapper Snowboards

Splitboards and snowboards

Give us a brief description of your manufacturing processes and philosophy

Boards built to provide riders with the performance they deserve without compromising durability or weight and at a competitive price. Every component is manufactured in house in our Revelstoke facility from lumber to finished product. No gimmicks just the best boards you haven’t ridden…yet.

How many employees and/or contractors do you work with?

One man band in the shop and The Wax Bench here in town does the stone ground base finishing.

What brought you to the Kootenays and how long have you been here?

Moved here from Northern Alberta (Peace River) in 2008 to be closer to my recreation passions, snowboarding and mountain biking rather than commuting 4-½hrs each way to play in the mountains.

Tell us about the history and relative work experience of your founder(s).

Being raised by a machinist / millwright rubs off on a guy. Getting all the lengthy explanations and having the fascination and patience to see them though is the origin of my problem solving. DIY was definitely the mantra in the household. That coupled with being employed in many trades as well as steel fabrication and automotive hobbies gave me the tools to get the manufacturing process started.

Describe the mission, vision, goals, and aspirations of your company.

Simply put, to provide customers with a product that helps them make the best of their time on snow for a long time to come.
