We specialize in hand-crafted stand up paddleboards.
Give us a brief description of your manufacturing processes and philosophy
We build hand-crafted stand up paddleboards using sustainably harvested cedar as well as foam with epoxy fiberglass. We also offer custom shaping and graphic design to ensure the boards offer superior performance with a feel that can only be attained with craftsmanship. We build our boards to last a lifetime with a one-off production process based on care and attention to detail. Our artist collaborations are designed to promote the artists as much as adding beauty to our boards. We continue to add new artists to our roster.
How many employees and/or contractors do you work with?
We are a husband and wife team who run the business. Steve’s sister Sheila Kerr built and maintains the website and we have a great network of artists, suppliers, fellow craft SUP builders and friends of the company.
What brought you to the Kootenays and how long have you been here?
Tell us about the history and relative work experience of your founder(s).
Describe the mission, vision, goals, and aspirations of your company.
Our mission is to build the highest quality SUP boards and promote local artists to create functional art that can be appreciated by its owners for a lifetime. Our vision is to create a living and growing network of artists, so that we can work together and mutually benefit from our production pieces. Our goals and aspirations are to continually grow with the creative process, spend lots of time on the water and provide products that significantly increase enjoyment of life.
