1023 Innovations

This is a start up that will manufacture ski boot repair parts, lightweight backcountry equipment and my “Light-Switch” snowboard binding interface. As well, the plan is to explore the limits of pedal assist e-bikes. The goal is faster and further, doing rides of a magnitude impossible on normal mountain bikes.

Give us a brief description of your manufacturing processes and philosophy

The goal is to do the testing, manufacturing and ultimately using what we make here in the Kootenays.

How many employees and/or contractors do you work with?

At the moment I am a one man show.

What brought you to the Kootenays and how long have you been here?

I moved to Rossland in 1988. I chose this area after a ski trip to Nelson in 1986.

Describe the mission, vision, goals, and aspirations of your company.

The vision/mission of 1023 Innovations is to improve the tools we use for human powered backcountry travel.
