We build compact and lightweight teardrop camping trailers.
Give us a brief description of your manufacturing processes and philosophy.
Upon a Transport Canada certified trailer frame we build the teardrop trailer – basically a warm, dry bed with a fully functional exterior kitchen complete with stove, cooler, cabinets for food and kitchenware at just over 1,000 pounds. We wanted to build a teardrop trailer more suited to our camping style and conditions. Something that could be kept stocked and ready to go at a moment’s notice and which would be easy to use and provide the conveniences and security of an RV at an affordable price.
How many employees and/or contractors do you work with?
Just the two of us.
What brought you to the Kootenays and how long have you been here?
We were looking for an affordable place to raise our family. A place of laid-back, comfortable people that enjoyed the outdoor playground. Not knowing exactly what we were going to do, we were looking for property with few zoning restrictions to keep our options open. We have been here for over 25 years now.
Tell us about the history and relative work experience of your founder(s).
A lifetime of well-rounded trade skills came together for this project including mechanical, electrical and finish carpentry along with administrative skills in business and purchasing.
Describe the mission, vision, goals, and aspirations of your company.
We enjoy our ability to work from home and we rearrange the work routine to take time off when it suits us best. Most of all we truly love the job satisfaction that comes from setting folks up in their new little adventure pods. Everyone we meet are so happy to start their new style of camping in comfort.
