What brought you to the Kootenays and how long have you been here?
I’ve lived in Nelson and run my own graphic design agency for over 20 years. I’m endlessly inspired by the people, places, and possibilities here.
Tell us about the history and relative work experience of your founder(s).
Nichola Lytle is the founder and owner of HappyWay. She is also the owner of PinkDog Designs, an award-winning digital design agency. Nichola has designed for over 1,000 businesses from corporations to municipalities, SMEs to non profits, creating digital solutions that engage, inspire and get results. Nichola teaches digital arts at Selkirk College and contracts for the Columbia Basin Trust as a Tech Advisor. Nichola served on the Board of the Nelson Tech Club as a co-founder of Nelson’s Makerspace and served on the Selkirk College Advisory Board. As an entrepreneur she is a member of the Venture Acceleration Program and has partnered on several projects with BCIT, UBC and Selkirk College. While she has a passion for design, communications and technology, her love for the arts, the outdoors and nature endlessly inspires her work.

Our mission at HappyWay.ca is to connect people, places and possibilities all in one place, inspiring authentic experience in the way we engage with each other. Our vision is to innovate products and services that enhance a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, making it easy to do good business with the right customers. Our goal is to launch HappyWay across Canada.
