Product development consulting services and entrepreneurial product development.
Give us a brief description of your manufacturing processes and philosophy.
I believe in simplicity. When you focus on simplicity in the design and creative stages, it results in simplicity in all the latter stages of the development. I like Canadian manufacturing, and am actively trying to produce my product designs in Canada.
How many employees and/or contractors do you work with?
4-5 external consultants that I collaborate with, no employees. Overhead = Death.
What brought you to the Kootenays and how long have you been here?
I wanted to live a balanced life in a place that inspired and centred me, and raise a family where we could all be close to nature and recreation.
Tell us about the history and relative work experience of your founder(s).
I spent 18 years at G3 Genuine Guide Gear Inc. I started as a junior product development engineer and when I left I was in charge of all product related processes in the business: product conception, development, line management, innovation, and strategy. I was a member of the senior management team, IP manager and lead for the product development department. I also managed a team of up to eight people.
Describe the mission, vision, goals, and aspirations of your company.
I like envisioning, and then creating products that enable people to adventure in the outdoors farther, longer, and with less effort. I choose to work on projects and with people who inspire me. I aspire to have the products and services I create serve many humans by being truly needed and as sustainable as possible.
