KORE Sponsors Coldsmoke Powderfest 2025
KORE is excited to announce it is the title sponsor of Coldsmoke Powderfest in Nelson February 21-23, 2025.
Launched in 2006, the Kootenay Coldsmoke Powderfest is a grassroots gathering where mountain enthusiasts of all levels celebrate ski and snowboard culture. It includes a variety of events that take place in the city and at Whitewater Ski Resort including clinics, competitions, a film festival and other ski-themed arts and culture programming.
This year, KORE will be involved in a variety of key events over the course of the three-day event. They are listed below along with details about how to get involved.
Demo Village
KORE will have up to 4 tents at the Demo Village outside Whitewater’s lodge on Saturday and Sunday (Feb 22 and 23) displaying KORE members’ products.
If you are interested in having your items there, email Riley Wilcox. Participation is on a first-come basis. Even if you are not able to attend in person, you can arrange to have your products on display. For those participating who are coming from outside the Nelson area, an accommodation stipend will be available.
Stories To Tell
On Friday, February 21 at 7pm at the Capitol Theatre in Nelson, KORE will be hosting “Stories To Tell,” an evening of live storytelling by people in the powder sports industry.
As part of the event, KORE will unveil a first-of-its-kind Topsheet Art Gallery, an exhibit showcasing ski and snowboard top sheet designs from the Kootenay region and beyond. If you are interested in showcasing your skis or snowboards, contact Jayme Moye.
