KORE Outdoor Rec-Tech Summit

The Kootenay Outdoor Recreation Enterprise (KORE) Initiative will be hosting Canada’s first-ever conference dedicated to the outdoor rec-tech manufacturing and product design sector. The summit will be held October 19-22, 2022 at the Kimberley Alpine Resort’s Conference Centre in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia.
The Summit’s content themes will include:

• Reshoring manufacturing back in British Columbia

• Product innovation
• E-Rec Tech
• Academic and industry collaboration
• Sector network development
• Product launch case studies
• Financing alternatives (crowdfunding and angel investment)

• Outdoor Recreation Economy
Industry thought leaders and speakers will be giving presentations throughout the event and anybody interested in outdoor rec-tech manufacturing and product design in British Columbia, Alberta, Pacific Northwest and the U.S. Western States are invited to attend.

About KORE
KORE is an economic development and diversification initiative managed by the Kootenay Outdoor Recreation Society located in Kimberley, BC. It is an industry alliance of outdoor recreation gear manufacturers and designers in the Kootenay region and has brought together a network of 40+ craft gear makers and designers who have organically started up production manufacturing and designing within the Kootenays. KORE’s mission is to foster growth within the alliance through education, collaboration and connecting businesses to resources, grants, financing and capital, and to attract outdoor recreation product manufacturing and designers into the region to relocate or facilitate new entrepreneurial start-ups.
