Pete is the founder of Pete Hill Ltd, a design and development studio in Squamish, BC and has three decades of expertise in gear design working with such iconic brands as Arc’teryx, Cascade Designs, MEC, and The North Face. In his presentation he’ll touch on recent product he’s designed for the ulltralight segment and share critical lessons he learned in design, manufacturing, and marketing. He’ll also dive into opportunities enabled by inexpensive technology such as 3D-printing, laser-cutting, and CNC milling. He’ll also touch on sustainability in the outdoor rec-tech industry: what’s real progress, and what’s just greenwashing.
